KATHMANDU – In a major move for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL) season, the Janakpur Bolts have re-signed their star player, wicketkeeper-batter Lahiru Milantha. Milantha, who was the leading run-scorer in the inaugural NPL season in 2024 and named Player of the Match in the final, returns to the team that he led to its first championship.
The experienced Sri Lankan-born American is set to once again anchor the Bolts' batting lineup. His return is a significant boost for the Bolts as they prepare to defend their title in the NPL season scheduled to run from November 17 to December 13, 2025.
Milantha's triumphant 2024 season
Milantha's previous stint with the Bolts saw him finish as the top run-scorer with 293 runs in 10 matches, showcasing his consistency and firepower.
